Note: The Meet a Real Farmer initiative is being promoted by the Alliance for Food and Farming, a non-profit organization representing both conventional and organic farmers of fruits and vegetables throughout the country. The Alliance will be happy to work with media representatives to arrange meetings with REAL fruit or vegetable farmers. Please contact us at info@foodandfarming.info
. We also encourage the media to seek out their own sources. An easy way to find a REAL farmer is to look on packages of produce in your local grocery store or on boxes in the back room of the produce department. All produce shipping boxes are required to be clearly marked with the name and address of the supplier.
